The concept

Over the past period the TT Circuit in Assen has been modernized in phases. The last phase of the modernization was shortening the race track which resulted in a short, challenging race track but it also offered possibilities to realize additional entertainment on the area that became available. Shortening the north hairpin bend resulted in a site of about 300,000 square meters. On this site a leisure park is being constructed with a car park offering 8,000 parking spaces.

This new leisure park is called TT World. Tip top entertainment for the whole family is one of the goals. The park with about 50,000 square meters of indoor entertainment is going to be a tourist attraction all year round. TT World offers all weather facilities within an attractive racing theme. There is free entry to the theme park which offers innumerable recreational possibilities in the field of catering, sports and entertainment. A number of leading operators, the city of Assen and the Province of Drenthe have high expectations for the park en they are willing to support establishing the area.

The huge TT-hall is the first building that has been developed. By now, innumerable events are organized here. In 2012 a casino and TT Hotel will be built. This hotel with a height of about 30 meters will be an eye-catcher because of its glass front.
